The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has described the establishment of the party’s ideological training centre known as the Patriotic Institute as a significant milestone in the party’s evolution.

Speaking at the official launch of the Institute on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, Mr. Kodua Frimpong highlighted the party’s contributions since its formation on July 28, 1992.

He said the NPP has played a crucial role in strengthening the rule of law, advancing multiparty democracy, and driving Ghana’s socio-economic development.

He explained that the Patriotic Institute is designed to train a new generation of leaders and party members who possess a firm grasp of the party’s history, ideology, and constitution.

The goal, he added, is to cultivate individuals with strong ethical values and strategic leadership abilities, well-versed in communication, political messaging, campaign strategy, and grassroots mobilisation.

Mr. Kodua Frimpong stressed that the party can no longer depend on the assumption that its values and traditions will be passed down organically from one generation to the next.

Instead, he said, there must be a deliberate and structured approach to ideological education. He therefore called on all party faithful to support and commit to the success of the initiative.
