The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has announced that more than 120,000 students have so far been reimbursed under the government’s No Fees Stress initiative.

Providing figures as of the August 7, 2025 application deadline, Mr. Ofosu disclosed that a total of 207,087 applications were received under the programme. Out of this number, 178,745 students were presented by public tertiary institutions as their officially enrolled students.

He further noted that 142,089 applicants had been successfully validated, while 120,222 students have already received reimbursements under the government’s intervention.

The No Fees Stress programme, launched by government to cushion students and families against the rising cost of tertiary education, offers financial relief by reimbursing students for their fees after validation by their respective institutions.
