A staggering 9,556 teachers, constituting over 30% of the total candidates, have reportedly failed to meet the pass mark in the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 2&3.

The National Teaching Council (NTC) revealed that out of the 20,181 teachers who sat for the exams, only 10,625, representing 52.6%, managed to pass.

The NTC is scheduled to officially release the results today, Thursday, December 21, 2023. The Council emphasized that the results will be accessible on its website, and candidates can check them using their unique examination pins.

In a statement, the NTC highlighted the breakdown of the results, indicating that the overall pass rate stands at 52.6%, while 47.4% of candidates did not meet the required standard.

This development raises concerns about the preparedness and performance of a significant portion of the teaching workforce.

Candidates are advised to check their results on the NTC online portal at exam.ntc.gov.gh by using either the pins provided during registration or their examination index numbers linked to their phone numbers.

Moreover, the NTC encourages candidates to print their provisional certificates after checking their results.
