The Parliament of Ghana has announced a new directive aimed at improving security and visitor management at Parliament House.

Effective immediately, all visitors and other stakeholders seeking entry into Parliament House are required to use the Ceremonial Gate, located opposite the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), to access the parliamentary precincts.

In a statement issued under the authority of the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, visitors will be directed to the Visitor’s Center upon arrival. There, they will undergo appropriate processing, verification, and confirmation of the purpose of their visit.

“With immediate effect, Rt. Hon. Speaker has directed that all visitors and other stakeholders to Parliament House are to use the Ceremonial Gate (opposite the Accra International Conference center (AICC)) to access the parliament precincts. Upon arrival, visitors would be directed to the visitor’s center for appropriate processing, verification, and confirmation of the purpose of their visit to the House of Parliament,” the statement read.

The Parliamentary Service says the directive is part of efforts to enhance security, streamline visitor management, and maintain operational order within the premises of Parliament.

The public is kindly urged to comply fully with the new entry procedure.
