The Ghana Police Service has dismissed claims circulating in a viral video, alleging a secret recruitment exercise at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti Region. The Service in a Facebook post clarified that the individuals seen at the school on Monday, September 2, 2024, were not recruits but suspects arrested during a special operation in Kumasi.

A total of 487 individuals were apprehended in connection with the QNET Ponzi scheme, and the training school was used as a temporary screening facility due to the large number of suspects. The Police revealed that while the screening was ongoing, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) gathered at the training school, claiming they had been informed of a secret recruitment process.

After realizing the allegations were baseless, the group dispersed. The Police Service has urged the public to disregard the false claims and treat them with the contempt they deserve.
