You could dismiss the above headline as false but it’s indeed the opinion of a renowned Ghanaian pastor, Pastor Love.
This famous man of God, formerly the husband of gospel diva Christiana Love, has taken a swipe at Ghanaian Gospel artistes, labeling their songs as empty and without substance.
According to him, it’s better to spend your time listening to the songs of the two heavyweight in the Dancehall arena; Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy because they preach good messages in their songs as compared to the current gospel artistes in the country.
Pastor Love passed this controversial statement on Zylofon FM in an exclusive interview over the weekend.
Additionally, he said most gospel songs currently do not sell any message and cannot awaken a dead fly or make an individual turn a new leave.
Speaking on his ex wife’s hit song “Hyebere Sesafo”, he acknowledged that the song was a good song but indicated that if he was in charge when the song was done, he would have arranged it differently to make it better.
