Dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have decided to organise a peace concert dubbed ‘Ghana First’.

The aim of the concert is to bring to an end the long-standing feud between the two that nearly marred the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).

The date for the concert is however yet to be announced.

At a joint press conference organised by Dr. Kofi Abban in Accra, the two apologised for the roles they have played in escalating the supposed rivalry between them.

They also advised their fans to smoke the peace pipe and consider that Ghana comes first.

“I’m a man of peace and he (Shatta Wale) is a man of peace and today we are here standing for peace for Ghana…For our fans, we are willing to work together,” Stonebwoy said.

“I’ll also like to apologize to all who felt bad…but peace is all we want. We all want our business to flourish…,” Shatta Wale said.

The board of the VGMAs has however banned Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy indefinitely. In addition to the ban, they have been stripped of all the awards they won.
