YFM’s flagship drive time programme, Dryve Of Your Lyfe, has extended its influence beyond Ghana as its current host duo take their talents to the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup; marking another milestone in the show’s 18-year legacy of shaping youth culture, entertainment and urban radio excellence.
The internationally recognised programme, airing weekdays from 3pm to 7pm on Y107.9FM in Accra, remains one of Ghana’s most influential and decorated radio shows; consistently dominating the drive time listening belt and winning multiple industry awards almost every year since inception.
At the centre of this global showcase are Princess AJ and DJ Kess; the first ever all-female host pairing of the show. Princess AJ, widely regarded as Ghana’s leading female entertainment MC and hype personality, continues to redefine live radio energy, event/concert hosting and audience engagement.
DJ Kess, who also serves as Head of Music at YFM, is an award-winning DJ recognised for her consistency, creativity and strong influence in shaping contemporary urban music culture in Ghana. Her work continues to bridge concerts/events and mainstream radio with evolving music trends and youth-driven sound.
The duo are in the United States in partnership with Tribe Culture Fest, a global platform that merges sports, culture and tourism through curated festivals, fan experiences, youth programmes and cultural activations around major global events. As official host and DJ, Princess AJ and DJ Kess will headline and support several Tribe Culture Fest events in the USA during the World Cup.
Their participation has been made possible through Tribe Culture Fest and YFM’s official travel partner, Ocean Bells.
According to the Programmes Manager of YFM in Accra, Erskine Whyte (Rev. Erskine), “As a brand, YFM has spent 18 years shaping the sound, culture and energy of Ghana’s youth. Princess AJ and DJ Kess exemplify the excellence we have built over the years; they represent the creativity, discipline and authenticity that define our network. Their presence in the United States is a natural extension of that legacy and a clear reflection of the standard of talent within YFM. They are the best in the game; setting the benchmark for youth radio, entertainment and urban culture”.
YFM continues to position itself as Ghana’s number one youth radio brand; leading in English-language urban radio, youth programming and contemporary music culture across the country. From Accra to Kumasi and Takoradi, the network remains a dominant force in shaping conversations, sound and lifestyle for Ghana’s youth.
