“It’s that time of the year again and our annual iconic Homowo festivity is here with us my fellow chiefs. Just like we do annually and come around each household for the presentations, we decided to change the narrative this year and conduct it on our premises to allow the rulers of our lands to see for themselves the work we do here and some challenges we face in our day to day activities. With that said we want to ensure that our annual festivity goes on as planned and becomes more memorable with our loved ones. We want to ensure that the needed things are done and done well to facilitate the development of the assembly,” he added.

He further charged the various communities within the assembly to ensure peace and avoid rowdy attitudes during the celebrations.

On his part, Nii Akwetey Brenya III on behalf of the chiefs present expressed gratitude to Hon Boye Laryea and admonished the youth in the community to lead the celebrations devoid of negative news on the Ga States.

“On behalf of my fellow Chiefs, we would to show our appreciation to the MCE and everyone within the assembly for the good works they have done over the years and want they continue to do towards the development of the assembly. This year’s Homowo will definitely be a memorable anniversary to the Ga community and to Ghanaians a large. However, we would also plead with our youth and every member of the community to keep a low profile during the celebrations. No need to cause havoc. Let us celebrate Homowo peacefully and maintain our dignity,” he said.

DCP Isaac Ocansey, Tesano Chief Commander also added, “We want to engage with the community not just as a treat to scare anyone but to encourage merry-making but without violence, chaos and disturbances. We are always available and ready to serve the community and ensure peace.
