Government has directed that all national flags be flown at half-mast across the country effective immediately, in honour of those who perished in this morning’s tragic military helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.

The directive, issued through the Office of the President, follows the confirmed deaths of senior government officials, including Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.

“This is a moment of profound national grief. The government mourns with the families and loved ones of the deceased, and the entire country shares in this loss,” the statement read.
