At the end of polls on Saturday, August 24, 2019, Mr. Adongo polled a total of 843 votes out of a total of 1073 votes cast while George Gamson polled 229 votes.

Alhassan Suhuyini also got the confirmation from delegates in his constituency, Tamale North to be representative for 2020 Parliamentary and Presidential.

Eric Osei Owusu, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Afram Plains South Constituency in the Eastern Region however, lost his reelection bid in the NDC Primaries in his constituency.
