Ghana’s Black Princesses are one step closer to the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup after dispatching Tunisia 4-0 on aggregate in the second qualifying round.

In the return leg on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ghana showed patience and composure despite early missed chances. Mercy Attobrah broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, finishing off a dominant spell of pressure. Just before the break, Ivy Osei Owusu almost doubled the tally with a dazzling solo effort, but her shot narrowly missed the target.

Head coach Charles Sampson’s halftime adjustments paid off immediately. Substitute Agnes Yeboah made an instant impact, scoring with her very first touch in the 46th minute to put Ghana firmly in control.

Although the Princesses created more opportunities, a resolute Tunisian backline denied them further goals. Still, the 2-0 victory on the day, combined with their first-leg win, secured a convincing 4-0 aggregate triumph.

The result books Ghana a third-round showdown against South Africa in February, as the Princesses continue their march toward the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
