Executive Director of Alliance for Christian Advocacy Africa, Reverend Dr. Kwabena Opuni- Frimpong has described the Electoral Commission’s Inter- Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Tuesday October 1, 2024 as healthy and assuring.

Commending the Electoral Commission’s effort, Dr. Opuni- Frimpong noted that, ‘’the involvement of the Media in the meeting is something we were witnessing for the first time. Previously when you finish IPAC meeting and the takeaway from the two main political parties in their interview, sounds contradictory, you ask yourself if you were in that meeting’’.

He also lauded the NDC for the acceptance of the IPAC meeting, ‘’moving forward, I pray and hope that when we have challenges with our electoral system, we must be still, go on dialogue, consensus- building’’.

According to him, the meeting resolved some challenges that were brought out concerning the voter’s register instead of mobilizing people on the street to demonstrate.

‘’ I pray and hope moving forward we will do more of October 1st IPAC rather than getting people on our streets, by so doing we will be able to resolve all the challenges and therefore lets use dialogue and consensus building’’.
