COVID-19 depriving young health professionals of expert training - Doctors cry out

Five more Ghanaians have died of COVID-19 bringing the total of deaths to 122.

The death toll stood at 117 as of Saturday, July 5, 2020.

Total number of recorded cases in Ghana now stand 20,085 with 14,870 recoveries. Active cases are now at 5,093.

The development comes as President Akufo-Addo goes into isolation after coming into contact with an infected person, the government announced.

Below is the regional breakdown of cases

Greater Accra Region – 10,979

Ashanti Region – 4,244

Western Region – 1,729

Central Region – 983

Eastern Region – 798

Volta Region – 362

Upper East Region – 278

Western North Region – 154

Northern Region – 137

Bono East Region – 136

Oti Region – 112

Upper West Region – 55

Savannah Region – 46

Bono Region – 38

Ahafo Region – 26

North East Region – 8
