The initiative aims to recognize and reward outstanding educators across all five circuits in the district, Potsin, Buduburam, Nyanyano, Buduata, and Ojobi. Each circuit is hosting its own awards to spotlight hardworking teachers ahead of the district-wide event.

In the Potsin Circuit, nine teachers were honored for their dedication and impact from kindergarten through junior high school.

Among them, Rose Ketua Aqua of Dabanyin D/A Basic School was named the overall best teacher.

She expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Directorate, saying the recognition was unexpected but deeply motivating.

Speaking to Happy Kaseɛbɔ reporter Atta Buabeng, Assistant Public Relations Officer for the Directorate, Joshua Kwame Kwanu highlighted the district’s academic achievements.

“Gomoa East was ranked among the top five performing districts in the BECE exams in the region,” he noted, attributing the success to the commitment of local teachers.

Teachers selected at the circuit level will now compete for district honors, with prizes including cash, refrigerators, televisions, mobile phones, tablets, and more.

Kwanu called on traditional leaders, the District Chief Executive, the Member of Parliament, and other stakeholders to support the initiative and help elevate the quality of education in the district.
