Mary Sackey, with a wealth of experience spanning over 9 years in the customer service industry, shared her insights on the role of customer service in driving business success.

She began her journey as a Front Desk Executive, where she honed her foundational customer service skills. Over time, her passion for delivering exceptional service led her to the CS/Traffic Department.

Her evolution embodies the very essence of going through the process, patience and determination.

This role has provided her with the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the sales team on strategic campaigns that resonate deeply with clients’ audiences.

She is currently pursuing an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra. Additionally, she has a Degree in Business Studies (Accounting) from Wisconsin International University. To further enhance her skills, she completed an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Chartered Management, ICM UK.

“The most fulfilling aspect of my job is witnessing the positive impact of our work. It’s incredible to see a campaign come to life in the most incredible way on our radio platforms, YFM, Happy FM and YTV Knowing that the role played in enhancing brand visibility and driving sales is truly motivating and beneficial to every customer,” she shared.

“One particular instance was when we had a client who was considering leaving due to service-related issues. By taking the time to understand their specific needs and implementing tailored solutions, we were able to not only retain their business but also expand our relationship with them. ” It’s a testament to the power of personalized customer service.

Mary nonetheless made some borderline assertions on the challenges, highlighting how technical difficulties can pose challenges. “I recall a day when a persistent technical issue prevented us from resolving a client’s query promptly. It was frustrating, but I understood the limitations and remained committed to providing the best possible service,” she added.

It is evident that her dedication and passion for customer service are instrumental in contributing to the success of Global Media Alliance that led her to win Sales employee of the year in 2022.
