Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak have appointed Akwasi Agyeman as new Executive Supervisory Director. This key decision, announced on Friday, May 23, 2025, shows the club’s push for better management and quicker project completion.
Mr. Agyeman’s role is designed to serve as a crucial liaison between the Hearts of Oak Board and Management. He will work hand-in-hand with the Managing Director, Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah, to oversee day-to-day operations and spearhead key initiatives.
A primary focus of his tenure will be the operationalization of the much-anticipated Pobiman project, a development critical to the club’s long-term infrastructure and development goals.
Mr. Agyeman brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Already a member of the Hearts of Oak Board, he is widely recognized for his multifaceted professional background, which spans media, banking, and tourism. The former CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has a proven track record of transformative leadership. His past roles also include Managing Director of Global Media Broadcasting Company, overseeing e.TV Ghana, Happy FM, and YFM. He has experience with prominent financial institutions like Stanbic Bank and Ecobank Ghana.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Mr. Agyeman is no stranger to football administration. He has served as Chairman of the Ghana Football Association’s Division One League Committee and was also a member of the Black Stars Management Committee.
