No need to debate! Michael Owusu Addo famously known as Sarkodie is the epitome of rap when it comes to his generation. His musical ‘dexterity’ is unprecedented as he has virtually produced songs to cater for all the well-known music genres you can ever imagine.
From recording Hip-Hop songs to Azonto to Afrobeats to ‘partial’ dancehall tunes (Love Rocks & Pon Di Ting) as well as ‘Live’ music, –Mary album. Therefore, it’s not surprising for him to say that he has what it takes to predict the next lines of fellow rappers when listening to their songs for the first time.
Sarkodie made the above statement at the recently held listening session of singer Akwaboah’s new album christened, ‘Matters Of The Heart’. In the voice of the SarkCess Music CEO before the press, he has rapped to a point that when you are rapping, he can predict your next line before you say it and he’ll be correct.
“I deal a lot with rhyming so if you say aboa, I expect you to follow it with akoa”, Sarkodie said.
Contrary to his assertion, Sarkodie revealed that his label mate, Strongman “always trick me. He always says something that I don’t think about and that is how I tip a good rapper.”
“I have to believe in what I attach myself with and the same thing happens to Strongman. It’s been a while since I heard somebody really rap good. I rap so if I listen on radio and you say things that I can say.. I’ve rapped to a point that when you are rapping, I can predict your next line before you say it and I’ll be correct.. Oh it is true”, Sarkodie said.
