Self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, has revealed that he turned down huge sums of money to play shows because he was preparing and fasting for his much-anticipate ‘Reign’ album launch.
Speaking on Zylofon FM, Shatta Wale said, “Sammy listen, I rejected a GH¢100,000 offer to play a show from Indomie and GH¢200,000 from Glo to play a show for them, not because I didn’t want to or boasting but I was fasting and preparing for my album launch. I later sat with management of these companies and explained things to them and they understood.”
This revelation comes after the host Sammy Flex had asked him why he was not playing shows lately.
Shatta Wale in recent times have been flaunting with his latest Lexus V8 vehicle customized with the ‘Reign’ album symbol.
Meanwhile, social media on Wednesday was set on fire over a track released by Sarkodie in response to the ‘bluffing’ of Shatta Wale.
The video has received generally positive reviews from Ghanaians who have been sharing lines from the track and dissing Shatta Wale in addition.
