Former Hearts of Oak forward Kofi Kordzi says his target is to score more goals to help his new side Muaither SC win trophies in the upcoming season.

Kordzi joined the Qatari based team from Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak in a deal reported to be worth $150,000.

After completing his move to the club, the bulky striker is yet to feature for his new side and is hoping to make his debut soon.

Speaking in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy 98.9FM from his base in Qatar he said,

“I was able to pass my medical successfully and also underwent the mandatory quarantine for two weeks”.

“My target is to score more goals for the club in the ongoing season and I will need the support and prayers from everyone back home”

“The players have shown me love since I got here and the reception has been wonderful”

He added: “The club’s facilities are one of the best and you will be in the mood to play football if you see their pitch”

Kofi Kordzi is hoping to make his debut for the Qatari side in their second league game.

Kofi Kordzi scored 6 goals in 14 games to become the Hearts of Oak’s top scorer during the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was truncated amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
