Private legal practitioner and member of National Democratic Congress [NDC] Legal Team, Lawyer Abraham Amaliba, has observed that the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako is a liar who has lost his credibility.

He assertion comes on the back of allegation by veteran Journalist that failed ‘Alajo’ coup plotters actually planned to kidnap President Akufo Addo. Kweku Baako also claims he’s had the opportunity of watching and listening to the video and audio recordings of the ‘coup plot’, the conspirators intended to carryout out their attack at an event that will have very senior leaders of the country congregated at one place.

But on Epa Hoa Daben show on Happy FM, Lawyer Amaliba was outrage over the comments. “In what capacity is Kweku Baako making these allegations? Is he the right person to make these comments or revelations? This is the responsibility of the Attorney General, not Kweku Baako.”

He further opined that “Kweku Baako as we all know has lost his credibility.”

The suspects who are facing trial for allegedly attempting to oust the government by attacking the presidency were charged with treason at a Kaneshie Magistrate court yesterday.

The suspects include a senior military officer Colonel Samuel Kojo Gameli and a civilian employee of the Ghana Armed Forces Gershun Akpa.

The charge sheet reads: “Conspiracy to comity treason felony  2. Treason felony

  1. Possession of explosives, firearms, and ammunition”.
