Mariama Suleman, the mother of Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus has disclosed to Happy 98.9FM that his son is expected to recover soon following an injury he picked up against Liverpool.
The 20-year old lasted six only minutes in his first UEFA Champions League game against Liverpool on Wednesday at the Johan Cryuff Arena before he substituted.
It was a big blow to the youngster and Ghanaians as the highly rated midfielder was expected to announce himself to the world with his performance.
Mariama Suleman told Happy 98.9 FM that his son got in touch with her after the game and assured her the injury was not serious.
“Kudus called me late in the night to inform me that the injury wasn’t serious so I shouldn’t worry”, he told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy Sports.
“He will be going to the hospital to have a scan today and I know he will be fine”.
She added that I know my son will go further in his career and I want to thank everybody for the support they have given him.
