The Dome Kwabenya Constituency witnessed a landslide victory for Mike Oquaye Jnr over the incumbent Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary.

The final results tallied 1194 votes for Mike Oquaye Jnr, a substantial lead over Sarah Adwoa Safo, who garnered 328 votes. The outcome reflects a significant shift in political dynamics within the constituency and signals a change in representation for the NPP in the upcoming general elections.

The Dome Kwabenya primary was closely watched, given Sarah Adwoa Safo’s incumbency. However, the overwhelming support for Mike Oquaye Jnr suggests a new direction preferred by the party members and constituents.

This is the third time Mr Ocquaye Jnr. is contesting against Adwoa Safo for the seat with the latter winning in two previous polls.
