The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) officially declared former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta wanted on its official Facebook page on Monday, February 17, 2025.
This comes after the Special Prosecutor’s press conference last week, where he publicly labeled Ofori-Atta a fugitive of justice.
According to the OSP, the former minister is wanted in connection with multiple financial irregularities, including:
•Strategic Mobilisation-GRA Contract
•Termination of ECG-BXC contract
•National Cathedral payments
•Ambulance procurement contract
•Tax Refund Account utilization
The public notice includes a photograph of Ofori-Atta, his personal details, and a request for information on his whereabouts.
The OSP has identified the United States (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK) as potential locations where he may be found.
The OSP has urged the public to provide any information regarding Ofori-Atta’s whereabouts by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 0554494499 or 0554484488.
This move marks an intensified effort by the OSP to ensure the former minister faces legal action, following his alleged non-cooperation with investigations.
The OSP also reiterated that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
