The Sakumono District Police Command has arrested three suspects for their alleged involvement in a shooting and trespassing incident at the Celebrity Golf Club in Sakumono.

The suspects, identified as Abubakar Mohammed, aged 28, Eric Asare, aged 23, and Felix Darko, aged 48, were apprehended on Saturday, October 18, 2025, following a violent confrontation at the facility.

In a police statement issued and signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region on Sunday, October 19, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects falsely presented themselves as National Security operatives.

They reportedly stormed a construction site within the golf club, belonging to one of its executives, and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to sections of the property.

Police further indicated that the attack is linked to an ongoing land dispute involving factions within the Nungua Traditional Council.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.

The Accra Regional Police Command has since cautioned individuals and groups to refrain from acts of lawlessness, especially those connected to land disputes.

It also assured the public that anyone found culpable will face the full consequences of the law.
