The Presidency, has disclosed that Dr. John Ofori-Tenkorang’s dismissal as Director-General of SSNIT wasn’t due to misconduct, but part of President Akufo-Addo’s ongoing restructuring efforts.

Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, stated on Saturday, April 13, that Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s dismissal as Director-General of SSNIT wasn’t due to misconduct or malfeasance.

President Akufo-Addo concluded Dr. Ofori Tenkorang’s tenure on Monday, April 8, directing him to transfer responsibilities to Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo by Monday, April 15.

The Presidency asserts that Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s departure, despite rumors of misconduct, is a result of President Akufo-Addo’s ongoing restructuring efforts.

The Presidency also emphasized that President Akufo-Addo commends Dr. Ofori-Tenkorang’s performance, noting significant transformation within the institution under his leadership
