President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced a total closure of all public and private educational facilities in the country effective Monday, March 16 2020.

The president made the announcement on Sunday, March 15, following the detection of six coronavirus cases in the country.

“All public gatherings festivals, political rallies, religious events have been suspended for the next four weeks,” Akufo-Addo announced.

President Akufo-Addo noted that private burials are allowed but should just be for a few people.

The directive of the president comes on the heel of the confirmation of 4 new cases of the COVID-19 in the country.
