The Member of Parliament and Minister of Energy, John Jinapor, has said that every public official should not be afraid of accountability.

Commenting on Ken Ofori Atta being declared wanted by the office of the special prosecutor, John Jinapor wished Ken Ofori Atta the best of luck.

He recounted the day he was accused of wrong doing in the Ameri power deal emphasising that his house was raided by AK47-wielding National security operatives sending his six year old into a state of hysteria and fear.

“No member of Parliament commented on the issue except Prof. Mike Oquaye who condemned the
act.”

“The OSP has declared Ofori Atta a fugitive. We should not be afraid of accountability. When they took my laptop as public official, they couldn’t open my iPhone and told them I will make myself available and open it but i was told the phone had been taken to UK and i had to give them my password”.
