Ghanaian upcoming female dancehall artist Klara Kay believes that female musicians in Ghana have more advantage over their male colleagues despite the challenges they face.
Klara Kay who was lenient in her submission on ‘The Late Nite Celebrity Show’ said regardless of the challenges, female artistes have more opportunities than their male counterparts.
She, however, admitted that despite all the perks female artists get, breaking through the music industry in Ghana is on easy.
“It’s not easy though, we all know the game is very tough, but being a female artist is sometimes good because we are females people just come in to support, some people also come in to give empty promises, but female artists get a lot of opportunities the males can. We face a lot of challenges as well, but we still survive it,” she said.
Klara advised other female musicians to be careful not fall for those who come in with empty promises to have sexual relationships with them in exchange for assistance.
“If you allow them, they will waste your entire life,” she said.
