Elmina Sharks head coach Yaw Acheampong says his team will carry the day against Hearts of Oak in their matchday eight fixture at the Nduom Sports Stadium.

Sharks will be hoping to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to Karela United in their previous game whilst Hearts of Oak seek to continue their winning run.

The Phobians thrashed Bechem United by 6-1 on matchday seven at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts looked an improved side under Coach Kosta Papic and are favourites heading into the game against Elmina Sharks.

Sharks coach Yaw Acheampong has vowed to halt Hearts of Oak winning run in the upcoming game.

Speaking in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Odiasempa Kwame Oware he said, “We have not lost at the Nduom Sports Stadium in over 34 matches. So we are not going to lose this game to Hearts of Oak. We will not lose two matches in a row”.

“We have corrected our mistakes in our defeat to Karela United. The match will be interesting and will carry the day against Hearts of Oak’.

Fans will be able to watch the game at the Nduom Sports Stadium following government’s decision to lift the ban on attendance.

Elmina Sharks coach Yaw Acheampong indicated the return of the fans will boost the confidence of his players.
