The National Service Authority (NSA) has taken a significant step toward advancing agribusiness and youth empowerment with the receipt of 5,000 layer birds at its Papao farms in Accra.

The delivery forms part of the “Nkokɔ Nketenkete” initiative, a flagship agricultural program introduced by President John Mahama aimed at revolutionizing poultry production, ensuring consistent egg supply to markets in Accra, and creating sustainable employment opportunities for young people.

In a post on its official Facebook page, the NSA highlighted the broader vision of the initiative, describing it as more than just a poultry project.

“It is more than poultry. Besides, it is a pathway to innovation and empowerment,” the statement read.

The project will also serve as a hands-on training platform for national service personnel interested in agribusiness, offering practical exposure to modern poultry farming techniques and enterprise management.

The “Nkokɔ Nketenkete” initiative is expected to scale up further in the coming months, with similar interventions planned for other regions across the country.
