"President Mahama is emotionally down" - Haruna Iddrisu shares Mahama's grief over helicopter tragedy

The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu has shared sorrowful sentiments of all state actors under the Mahama administration, following the tragic demise of Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.

Iddurisu in an interview monitored by happyghana.com revealed that the Ministers who died while enroute to Obuasi on official duty has left many members of the cabinet in shock.

The Minister indicated that “the President is down down down emotionally.” expressing the sorrow of President Mahama, extending a wish of strength and fortitude to accept the news.

The death of the ministers was confirmed earlier today by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who also confirmed the passing of six others Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, ⁠Dr Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman, NDC, Mr Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary candidate, Squadron leader Peter, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, Sergeant Ernest Addo.
