Three school children from Kasoa Ofaakor DC Basic School are battling critical injuries after a high-tension cable fell on them in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
The tragic accident occurred as they were heading home from school, with reports indicating that two of them are in a coma.
Eyewitnesses claim they had reported the faulty cable to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), but no action was taken.
One of the victims, a 13-year-old boy, is receiving treatment at the St Joe’s Clinic and Maternity.
The community is devastated, demanding immediate action to prevent further incidents.
